<p>This plugin allows you to integrate <a href="https://privacyportal.org/for-business/products#sign-in-with-privacy-portal" rel="nofollow ugc">Sign In With Privacy Portal</a> and <a href="https://privacyportal.org/for-business/products#subscribe-anonymously-with-privacy-portal" rel="nofollow ugc">Subscribe Anonymously With Privacy Portal</a> with your site.</p>
<p><a href="https://privacyportal.org" rel="nofollow ugc">Privacy Portal</a> is a privacy-focused OAuth 2.0 provider and offers an integrated Mail Relay service to keep user emails private through Privacy Aliases.</p>

<h3>Sign In With Privacy Portal</h3>
<p><a href="https://privacyportal.org" rel="nofollow ugc">Privacy Portal</a> is an OAuth 2.0 Provider with Privacy baked-in. When <em>Sign In With Privacy Portal</em> is enabled, users can log in to your site while preserving their privacy using the Privacy Portal OAuth provider. During the login process, <a href="https://privacyportal.org" rel="nofollow ugc">Privacy Portal</a> protects user privacy by generating email aliases (also known as Privacy Aliases) that relay emails to users’ personal email addresses, keeping them private.</p>
<ol>
<li>The “Sign In With Privacy Portal” button will be displayed on your site. (It can be added to any page.)</li>
<li>Visitors to your site can click on the button to initiate the login process.</li>
<li>Once clicked, they will be redirected to the Privacy Portal web app to authorize access to your site.</li>
<li>After authorization, users will be redirected back to your site. Existing users will be automatically logged into WordPress, while new users will be created in the WordPress database and then logged in.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Subscribe Anonymously With Privacy Portal</h3>
<p>When “Subscribe Anonymously with Privacy Portal” is enabled, users can subscribe to your existing newsletter using email aliases instead of their personal email addresses. This feature does not replace your existing newsletter setup; instead, it integrates with some popular newsletter plugins.</p>
<ol>
<li>The “Subscribe Anonymously” button will be displayed within your newsletter forms. (It can be added to any page.)</li>
<li>Visitors to your site can click on the button to enroll anonymously in your newsletter without having to enter their email address.</li>
<li>Once clicked, they will be redirected to the Privacy Portal web app to authorize access to your site.</li>
<li>After authorization, Privacy Portal generates an email alias that is used to enroll the user in your newsletter. Note that the user remains anonymous throughout the process.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Important Notes</h3>
<ul>
<li>With Privacy Portal SSO, users will be redirected to the Privacy Portal web app, where they need to log in with their Privacy Portal account to authorize access to your site. If they don’t have an account, they can create a free one during this process.</li>
<li>When sending an email to a user’s email alias, your email is delivered to Privacy Portal’s Mail Relay servers, which privately redirect it to the user’s personal email address. Mail Relay does not store emails; it processes them in-memory and can add a layer of encryption when configured by users.</li>

<p>Ultra minimal plugin to let your users login to WordPress applications using their Google accounts. No more remembering hefty passwords!</p>
<h3>Initial Setup</h3>
<ol>

<p>Create a project from <a href="https://console.developers.google.com/apis/dashboard" rel="nofollow ugc">Google Developers Console</a> if none exists.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Go to <strong>Credentials</strong> tab, then create credential for OAuth client.</p>

<li>Application type will be <strong>Web Application</strong></li>
<li>Add <code>YOUR_DOMAIN/wp-login.php</code> in <strong>Authorized redirect URIs</strong></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>This will give you <strong>Client ID</strong> and <strong>Secret key</strong>.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Input these values either in <code>WP Admin > Settings > WP Google Login</code>, or in <code>wp-config.php</code> using the following code snippet:</p>

<h3>Browser support</h3>
<p><a href="https://developers.google.com/identity/gsi/web/guides/supported-browsers" rel="nofollow ugc">These browsers are supported</a>. Note, for example, that One Tap Login is not supported in Safari.</p>
<h3>How to enable automatic user registration</h3>
<p>You can enable user registration either by<br />
– Enabling <em>Settings > WP Google Login > Enable Google Login Registration</em></p>
<p>OR</p>

<p><strong>Note:</strong> If the checkbox is ON then, it will register valid Google users even when WordPress default setting, under</p>
<p><em>Settings > General Settings > Membership > Anyone can register</em> checkbox</p>
<p>is OFF.</p>
<h3>Restrict user registration to one or more domain(s)</h3>
<p>By default, when you enable user registration via constant <code>WP_GOOGLE_LOGIN_USER_REGISTRATION</code> or enable <em>Settings > WP Google Login > Enable Google Login Registration</em>, it will create a user for any Google login (including gmail.com users). If you are planning to use this plugin on a private, internal site, then you may like to restrict user registration to users under a single Google Suite organization. This configuration variable does that.</p>
<p>Add your domain name, without any schema prefix and <code>www,</code> as the value of <code>WP_GOOGLE_LOGIN_WHITELIST_DOMAINS</code> constant or in the settings <code>Settings > WP Google Login > Whitelisted Domains</code>. You can whitelist multiple domains. Please separate domains with commas. See the below example to know how to do it via constants:<br />
    <code>define( 'WP_GOOGLE_LOGIN_WHITELIST_DOMAINS', 'example.com,sample.com' );</code></p>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> If a user already exists, they <strong>will be allowed to login with Google</strong> regardless of whether their domain is whitelisted or not. Whitelisting will only prevent users from <strong>registering</strong> with email addresses from non-whitelisted domains.</p>
