<p>“Restrict Registration” is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to control<br />
who is registering on your blog. This plugin uses simple blacklists and<br />
whitelists to define who can register for your blog, and who is restricted. Use<br />
simple literal matching, flexible asterisk wildcard matching, or powerful<br />
regular expression matching: it’s your choice! The options page is clear and<br />
easy to use. Set your lists, and you’re done!</p>
<p>This plugin was inspired by WP-Deadbolt, but has been completely rewritten and<br />
redesigned, and several new features have been added.</p>

<p>This plugin will allow you to restrict all, none, or certain pages/posts to logged in users only.</p>
<p>In some cases where you are using WordPress as a CMS and only want logged in users to have access to the content or where you want users to register for purposes unknown so that they can see the content, then this plugin is what you are looking for.</p>
<p>Simple admin interface to select all, none, or some of your pages/posts.  This now works for posts!</p>
<h3>Upgrade</h3>
<ol>
<li>Deactivate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>Delete the previous <code>pagerestrict</code> folder from the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Upload the new <code>pagerestrict</code> folder to the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>

<li>Visit Settings>Page Restrict in the admin area of your blog.</li>
<li>Select your restriction method (all, none, selected).</li>
<li>If you chose selected, select the pages you wish to restrict.</li>

This plugin used to work great, but with WordPress 4.8+, it fails and the author hasn't provided any recourse. For shame.
