<h4>Why should I use the plugin</h4>
<p>If you host your site on a managed host that provides a staging instance (WP Engine, Siteground, and others), or if you run a staging instance for a self-hosted website, you may have found that WordPress and WooCommerce will automatically send emails and process payments from the staging site. Whenever you clone your production site to your staging site, you would normally need to complete a number of steps to make your site “safe for staging.”</p>
<p>Instead, install this plugin in production, set the production URL, and safely copy your site to and from staging. No other steps needed!</p>
<h4>Features on Staging</h4>
<ol>
<li>A “noindex” tag is added to all pages. Your staging site won’t show up in Google.</li>
<li>WordPress emails are stopped. The site won’t send any emails except for the password reset email. Please note, this feature may not be compatible with plugins that offload email to a 3rd party service.</li>
<li>The WooCommerce checkout page has a warning message notifying the visitor they are viewing the staging site.</li>
<li>WooCommerce payment gateways are suspended. Bank account transfer, Cash on Delivery and Check are left enabled. Stripe is automatically put into test mode.</li>
<li>WooCommerce Subscriptions is put into staging mode.</li>

<p>On a busy site you can’t afford to make changes to <em>live</em>, <em>published</em> posts without reviewing and approving them first. <strong>Revisionize</strong> clones your post, page or CPT to a draft that gives you the freedom to tweak, edit and experiment with the content. Preview your drafted changes and/or <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/public-post-preview/" rel="ugc">share the preview</a> with a 3rd party to approve the changes. <h4>Known Issues</h4>
<ul>
<li>Gutenberge. Revisionize is not compatible with the default Gutenberg editor. You must install the <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/" rel="ugc">Classic Editor</a> plugin. </li>
<li>WP Recipe Maker. There have been reported issues that indicate Revisionize does not work with this plugin. However, we could not verify these reports. Use at your own risk. </li>
<li>Some plugins store content in their own database tables, which Revisionize knows nothing about. It’s possible that publishing a revision will not save changes for these types of plugins. Revisionize will only work with content stored in the <code>wp_posts</code> and <code>wp_postmeta</code> tables. </li>

This plugin solves a problem with approval workflow that has plagued WordPress for a long, long time. Kudos for providing the community with a solution, and congratulations on the perfect review scores!

Excellent plugin

We have a workflow requirement where content is updated on a weekly basis and should be published on a Saturday evening on the same page/URL. Without this plugin, it would mean having to manually do it every time... on a Saturday evening... which is not fun. With this plugin, we can even set up scheduled content for weeks to come. Kudos!
