<h4>WebP Images</h4>
<p>If you want simple, get automatic WebP conversion with Easy IO, and be done with it! Otherwise, you can generate WebP versions of your images with the Bulk Optimizer, and deliver them to supported browsers. Take your pick between Apache-style rewrite rules, JS WebP Rewriting, and  WebP Rewriting. EWWW IO even works with the WebP option in the Cache Enabler plugin from KeyCDN.</p>
<h4>AVIF Images</h4>
<p>AVIF conversion is built into the Easy IO CDN. Once your site is setup with Easy IO, edit the site settings to enable AVIF, and you’re done!</p>
<h4>WP-CLI</h4>
<p>Allows you to run all Bulk Optimization processes from your command line, instead of the web interface. It is much faster, and allows you to do things like run it in ‘screen’ or via regular cron (instead of wp-cron, which can be unpredictable on low-traffic sites). Excellent plugin!

I installed Imsanity which is another plugin I love and it recommended the EWWW Image Optimizer and I installed it and it drastically cut down the file size of the images as well as converting them to different file formats! I was so impressed it was so easy to use and the optimized images looked super fantastic! I couldn't tell the difference and it optimized all sizes of the different sizes that WordPress creates and it handled it all! Super thrilled to have found this gem!

Useless plug-in! They force you to register on their site and you have to pay! But that's not all, you can't delete your account and you can't contact them. They use your personal data to spam you with useless emails. Misleading methods that have nothing to do with Wordpress.org

Easy to use


I have been using EWWW for 3 years now and never had any issues. So, kudos to that and for this great tool.


My go-to image optimization plugin


WP Core 6.5 has added AVIF support, yet EWWW IO still doesn't support it.  Seems like just an excuse to push people to use their paid CDN service Easy IO.  I've been a long time user of EWWW IO but now it seems like the it doesn't do much of anything useful anymore.
