<h3>Googlebot Monitor features</h3>
<p>This plugin allows you to monitor bots such as used by Google or Bing and dump the data into Google Analytics. In this way, access to key information from the server logs is easier. The track is automatic, and does not require any action by the team managing the server or web development.</p>
<p>Log analysis can help you understand if search engines are visiting all pages or if some pages are having crawling problems.</p>
<h3>How it works</h3>
<p>To activate it and make it work properly, you must:</p>
<ol>
<li>Create a new property in your GA account (IMPORTANT: NEVER use the same Google Analytics UA-XXXXX that you usually use for tracking)</li>
<li>Enter the UA of the new property in the plugin options.</li>
<li>You can extend the regular expression to register additional bots (Advanced users only)</li>
</ol>

<p>Virtual Robots.txt is an easy (i.e. automated) solution to creating and managing a robots.txt file for your site. Instead of mucking about with FTP, files, permissions ..etc, just upload and activate the plugin and you’re done.</p>
<p>By default, the Virtual Robots.txt plugin allows access to the parts of WordPress that good bots like Google need to access. Other parts are blocked.</p>
<p>If the plugin detects an existing XML sitemap file, a reference to it will be automatically added to your robots.txt file.</p>

Awesome, a simple solution to a common issue (site content managers who want to hide certain pages from Google search results).

Just a little note: in my case, the existing Sitemap created by the plugin "Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator" by Arne Brachhold wasn't detected.
