Easily make any html form accessible using the Simple Accessible Forms Plugin. Forms must be carefully constructed to ensure accessibility.

<li>The form element must include an aria-label describing the purpose of the form.</li>
<li>In the event of error or during a multiple step entry process, information previously entered must be auto populated or available for the user to select.</li>
<li>Each form field must be labeled using the label tag or by using an aria-label attribute.</li>
<li>Required fields should be annotated within the field label. This may be done using an asterisk for sited users but the word required should be used for screen reader users. Screen reader text may be hidden off screen using CSS. WordPress has a built in class for this purpose: screen-reader-text.</li>
<li>An error notice should be displayed next to fields with invalid entries when the user navigates away from the field.</li>
<li>If the form submission results in an error the values previously entered must be repopulated, an error displayed to clearly identify the issue and focus should be taken to the first field resulting in error.</li>
</ol>
The Simple Accessible Forms Plugin allows you to define form field validation information which will be used to add the necessary features to make the form accessible. With this plugin you can:

<li>Set the image filename as the image Caption.</li>
<li>Set the image filename as the image Description.</li>
<li>Set the image filename as the image Alt Text. This was a default feature in WordPress before 4.7. The plugin restores this essential feature which is great for SEO.</li>
<li>Insert Image Title into post HTML. WordPress stopped adding Image Titles to images since WordPress 3.5. The plugin restores it.</li>
<li>Remove hyphens from the image filename.</li>

Please remember to take a database backup before running the bulk updater (or anything bulk in general). The bulk updater updates ALL attributes for existing images in the Media Library and ignores the settings set for NEW uploads.

Auto Image Attributes From Filename With Bulk Updater (Add Alt Text, Image Title For Image SEO)


the title says it. This plugin will overwrite existing Alt Text values. This is bad if you've already added any Alt Text values yourself in the past, those will be lost and overwritten with the file name... probably with a non human friendly file name.



If they update this later to check for existing values and don't overwrite those then I would recommend giving it another try.



PS: this goes for ALL title, alt text, description, and caption. All of these will be overwritten even if you already have it set to something.
