This plugin creates a shortcode you can use to embed charts anywhere inside WordPress. Just add the shortcode, add some options and you are done. You can see it in use on <a href="https://supporthost.com/fast-website/" rel="nofollow ugc">SupportHost website</a>.
It loads only 1 javascript (chart.js) and only loads it on the page where you actually use the shortcode. It’s so lightweight it won’t impact the performances of your website at all.
Charts are created with <a href="https://www.chartjs.org/" rel="nofollow ugc">chart.js</a>, so you can hover them and read the data.

<h3>Usage</h3>
After the plugin is active, you can just add the shortcode to your pages or posts (or anywhere you can add a shortcode):

Shorcode parameters: 
* type: you can decide the type of chart you want ot create. Optional, defaults to line. More on charts types below. 
* name: Optional, must be unique per page. 
* options: json of chart options as per <a href="https://www.chartjs.org/docs/latest/configuration/#options" rel="nofollow ugc">chart.js docs</a>. Make sure it’s all in one line. 
* labels: a list of comma separed labels. 
* data: a list of comma separed numbers. You can create data_1 for the second serie, data_2 for the third and so on. Make sure you start from 1, otherwise it won’t work. 
* label: The label name for the serie. You can create label_1 for the second serie, label_2 for the third and so on. Optional, if left blank you will see “label_#” 
* color: The color user for the serie. If empty will default to the chart.js pink. It is recommended to give each series its own color. 
* border: The border color. If empty defaults to the color option.
This is the minimum you can add in the shortcode to make it work:

Finally the plugin I need

We needed a simple plugin to create charts, that would not slow down WordPress, and that would allow to create charts easily and fast.

We came up with thi ultralight plugin (is only a shortcode) that only adds a javascript file if you use the shortcode.

Add the shortcode, add some data points and hit publish, it's that easy.

this plugin is a good idea but the example shortcode did not work on my local site on either a page in the shortcode field or on a template inside do_shortcode().

HOW TO USE EVERVIZ (PREREQUISITE) 
This plugin requires an everviz account and a visualization published in the app. This means that you have to sign up <a href="https://www.everviz.com" rel="nofollow ugc">here</a> first and create your first visualization, if you don’t already have an account with published charts or maps. 
  
Here’s how to use everviz to create visualizations from your data: 
  
1. Paste 
Enter data directly, drop a CSV file into the editor, copy & paste from Excel, or connect to live data via the Google Sheet inte­gration. 
  
2. Pick 
Our intuitive editor lets you choose chart type, edit text, fonts and colors to make your data stand out. 
  
3. Publish 
Embed your interactive visualizations on your WordPress website, blog or intranet, or export them as images.

HOW TO USE THE PLUGIN 
Inserting a visualization 
If you can’t see the visualization you are looking for, search for it in the search bar at the top of the plugin window or navigate through the pagination at the bottom of the window. When you have identified the visualization you want, click it, and then click the “Insert” button. 
  
Create a new visualization 
To create a new visualization, click the “Create new” button at the top of the window. You will be redirected to the everviz app to create the visualization. Go to <a href="https://www.everviz.com/help" rel="nofollow ugc">https://www.everviz.com/help</a> to learn more about how to create visualizations in everviz. 
  
Editing a visualization 
To edit a visualization, click “Edit in everviz” below the inserted visualization. You will be redirected to the everviz app. 
  
Deleting a visualization 
To delete a visualization from your document, click the trash can symbol in the upper right corner of it.

everviz – Charts, Maps and Tables – Interactive and responsive

Using this plugin saves you the hassle of logging in to Everviz and copying over the embed code to the custom HTML block in wordpress. When connecting this plugin to the Everviz API you can find all your graphs within the provided gutenberg block. This also has the added benefit that your graphs are previewed within the editor.
