<p>This is a super-simple plugin which will turn WordPress’ default <code>/?s=query%20terms</code> into <code>/search/query+terms/</code> if you have pretty permalinks enabled.</p>
<p>This is something which I have been placing into a theme include or in a core functionality plugin until recently, but it makes sense to separate this functionality out into an individual plugin so it can be switched on and off independently.</p>
<p>The plugin has no administrative interface or control panel. Activation turns it on, deactivation turns it off. Once activated, performing a search using the standard WP search widget should give you a much nicer search URL.</p>

Post rewrites completely clobber date rewrites. Date rewrites are broken already, but even when fixed,<br />
they can be overwritten by post rewrites. This plugin fixes date archives and persists them past post overwrites –<br />
supporting every possible flavor of endian, and every logical combination of %year%, %monthnum%, %day% within them.<br />
Below is a matrix of what is possible, the things which do not work in core are marked.</p>

<p>Year and Month archives don’t work when you date format is Middle or Little Endian.<br />
Year archives work in Middle when reversed (reversed, why not), but months do not.</p>
<p>This plugin makes all date formats work regardless of endianness.</p>
