<h3>Connecting Social Media Posts</h3>

<li>When creating or editing a post/page, you’ll see platform-specific meta boxes in the sidebar</li>
<li>Paste the URL of your social media post in the appropriate field</li>
<li>Update the post</li>
<li>The plugin will automatically sync comments, likes, and shares from the social media post</li>

<h3>Manual Sync</h3>

<li>Edit a post that has connected social media posts</li>
<li>In the Social Interactions meta box, click the Sync button next to a platform</li>
<li>The plugin will immediately import any new interactions</li>

<h3>Comment Appearance</h3>
<p>In Settings <span aria-hidden="true" class="wp-exclude-emoji">→</span> Social Bridge, you can configure how social media comments appear:</p>

<li>Fully integrated: Comments look like native WordPress comments</li>
<li>Styled differently: Comments retain their social media identity but appear in the same section</li>
<li>Separate section: Social media comments appear below WordPress comments</li>

<h3>Extending the Plugin</h3>
<p>Social Bridge supports extensions for additional social media platforms. Developers can create add-on plugins that register new platform integrations using the provided API.</p>
<p>To create an extension:</p>

<h3>External Services</h3>
<p>Social Bridge includes built-in integration for two social media platforms: Bluesky and Mastodon.<br />
When enabled, Social Bridge interacts with the APIs of these platforms to retrieve data<br />
from social media posts specified by authors on your site.</p>
<p>These integrations do not transmit any user data from your site to the third-party<br />
platforms. However, they will use the authentication or API credentials you provide<br />
in the Social Bridge settings to access the respective platforms.</p>
<p>The plugin will only communicate with these platforms when explicitly configured to<br />
do so—such as when a post on your site includes social media links in the Social Interactions metabox.</p>
<p>After configured both in the plugin settings and on individual posts, Social Bridge will routinely<br />
re-communicate with these platforms, in order to update its cache of social media comments, likes and shares.</p>

Was great until they pulled the rug out and started charging.  Their free plan is ridiculous.  Sad that it was free for so long and costs them nothing and now they're charging.

So I thought I'd give Jepack a social chance and at least appreciate that they finally provide individual functions independently from the juggernaut Jetpack. Unfortunately, Jetpack social sticks to the woefully outdated XML-RPC and simply doesn't work without it. So again it didn't disappoint and nothing changes. Maybe that will change over time with one star reviews.

I am loving the Jetpack Social Notes update! It could use some features like tags and comments, but overall I really like this addition to my blog. Social Notes make it easy for me to post quick thoughts without investing in full post writing, and having the posts auto publish to my LinkedIn profile have actually boosted engagement and traffic. I recommend trying Jetpack Social Notes.


Social Notes is one of the best additions to Jetpack!


Everything works, of course not all social networks are there, but at least it’s like that without errors
