With the new Twitter API updates you are now required to create an API and setup an authorized feed. Below you will find the instructions for how to setup :
You will first need to create an application by logging into the twitter developer portal https://dev.twitter.com/apps. 
Twitter no longer allows unauthorized access to your twitter feeds so you are required to login to the developer portal and create an application. 
You can name your application whatever you want, such as “ST Twitter”. 
Write whatever description you want, maybe something related to the site and widget your are creating the application for, and then you will put in your web address that the plug-in will be installed on. 
You can leave the URL callback blank if you don’t know what its for. 
Click, I agree then if will generate your first set of Keys. 
Then at the bottom of that page you will click the button labelled “Generate Access Key Code”. Put this information into Plugin setting (Go to the setting menu -> ST twitter) and you should be all set. Further details below.

Using PHP 5 and XMLReader, this plugin will load a user definable number of Tweets from Twitter. It requires that the Twitter user name be supplied to the plugin, and the desired number of Tweets to retrieve.
