<p><strong>Sticky Postbox</strong> is a piece of code written few years ago as exercise to learn how WordPress handles administration meta boxes’s availables statuses (closed, hidden and sortings).</p>
<p>This very lightweight plugin adds the <em>sticky</em> feature to administration meta boxes allowing them to be sticky at top right corner of the browser window.</p>
<p>Only one meta box can be sticky at once, so a new sticky meta box unstick the current one (if there is one).</p>

<h3>Usage</h3>
<p>Once the plugin is installed and activated you can sticky administration meta boxes using sticky icon (it appears on the top right corner of each box).</p>

<h4>Constants</h4>
<p>You can use define following constants in your <em>wp-config.php</em> file.</p>
<p><strong><code>STICKY_POSTBOX_DEBUG</code></strong></p>
<p>Turn on debug messages (also <code>WP_DEBUG</code> has to be <code>true</code>).<br />
Default to <code>false</code>.</p>
<p><strong><code>STICKY_POSTBOX_GLOBAL_OPTIONS</code></strong></p>
<p>In a Multisite installation, allows to shares user’s sticky meta boxes settings across all his sites. For example, if you sticky <em>Publish</em> box in editing Pages in a specific site, it will be sticky on all Pages of all sites.<br />
Default to <code>false</code>.</p>
<p><strong><code>STICKY_POSTBOX_AUTOENABLE</code></strong></p>
<p>By default if the plugin has been activated, it starts automatically.<br />
Define to <code>false</code> if you want to init it manually, for example:</p>

<li>Navigate to Elementor editor page;</li>
<li>Click Edit Section option for one of the sections to which you want to apply Sticky effect;</li>
<li>Open Advanced settings and here enable Sticky Section effect in Jet Sticky block.</li>

<p>After that you’ll have access to lots of style settings that provide opportunity to change the section’s appearance when one scrolls the page and the section moves as you scroll the content up or down.</p>
<p><strong>Key Features for Sticky Section Effect:</strong></p>

<li><strong>Sticky Section Visibility</strong> – allows to make the section sticky on desktop, tablet or mobile device, depending on your needs.</li>
<li><strong>Z-index</strong> – provides opportunity to add the depth to the content, making the section show always on top or behind some of the elements shown on the page.</li>
<li><strong>Sticky Section Style</strong> – includes multiple stylization settings for the sticky section, allowing to change the section’s padding values, background type, etc.</li>
<li><strong>Transition Duration</strong> – allows to change the time of the section’s transition.</li>

<h4>Sticky Column Effect</h4>
<p>To use the sticky effect for the column you need to:</p>
<ol>
<li>Navigate to Elementor editor page;</li>
<li>Click Edit Column option for one of the columns to which you want to apply Sticky effect.</li>
<li>Open Advanced settings and here enable Sticky Column effect.</li>
</ol>
<p>After the effect is active you’ll be able to change top and bottom spacing values, choose to display the effect on desktops, tablets or mobile devices only.</p>
