Works well for such a simple plugin.
WordPress is lacking in a good way to phase users in to major plugin updates. (either you manually install from trunk, or get a surprise as soon as the stable tag changes)
I'd love to see this worked into a more fully fledged "beta tester" plugin that hooks into auto-updates when the dev version is bumped.



Just what I needed

Install any WordPress.org plugin's trunk version from SVN.

Adds a support for automatic updates of translations from custom <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/glotpress/" rel="ugc">GlotPress</a> instances. 
Requires the <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/gp-translation-api/" rel="ugc">GlotPress Translation API</a> plugin to be installed and activated on the GlotPress instance.

This plugin connects to an API of your GlotPress instance, to obtain translation updates information, it’s needed to tell the WordPress update system if there are updates available.
It sends the GlotPress project path, locales in use, and current translations data, every time the WordPress update system checks for updates.
