Creates dropdown lists of non-hierarchical taxonomies (such as <code>post tags</code>) as an alternative to term (tag) clouds. Multiple widgets can be used, each with its own set of options.
Numerous formatting options are provided, including maximum numbers of terms, term order, truncating of term names, and more.
Using the <code>taxonomy_dropdown_widget()</code> function, users can generate dropdowns for use outside of the included widget.
Only use version 2.2 or higher with WordPress 4.2 and later releases. WordPress 4.2 changed how taxonomy information is stored in the database, which directly impacts this plugin’s include/exclude term functionality.
This plugin was formerly known as the <code>Tag Dropdown Widget</code>. It was completely rewritten for version 2.0.

This plugin allows you to select your “From”, and “To” Taxonomies, to convert all terms. Optionally select a parent term to limit terms to switch. Typing term names will do a live search of terms with the name you are typing AND possess child terms.
Plugin also has built-in support for <a href="http://wp-cli.org/" rel="nofollow ugc">WP-CLI</a>. In the command line, type in <code>wp taxonomy-switcher</code> for instructions.

Please keep in mind, if parent isn’t set, or you don’t specify a comma-separated list of term ids to migrate, it will migrate all terms for that taxonomy to the new taxonomy.

Not sure the forum policy on swearing on here, but this plugin is chuffing amazing, saved my bottom recently as I imported ~7000 term into the wrong taxonomy, and it transferred it over no fuss.

Don't let the small number of active installs fool you: This tool does what it says and does it well. Once the data is modified, most people (like myself) probably uninstall it.
