<p>This plugin ensures that there is only one sticky post published to the site. When a new sticky post is published, previous the ‘sticky’ flag is removed from any other posts, so they will no longer appear at the top of your page.</p>
<h3>Important Notes</h3>

<li>I adapted code initially found at http://craiget.com/one-sticky-post-in-wordpress/ Thanks to Craige for posting it! Also, Devin Price (http://wptheming.com/) was immensely helpful as I knocked out a couple of issues regarding scheduled sticky posts.</li>
<li>The first time you publish a sticky post after enabling this plugin, any and <em>all</em> other sticky posts will be changed to not-sticky. There is not a way to automatically reverse this decision, nor is their a log of which posts were changed.</li>
<li>This plugin has not been tested with versions of WordPress prior to 4.0.</li>
<li>Do not use this plugin if you are using another to manage per-category sticky posts. It has not been tested with that setup, and it will most likely mark all of those posts as non-sticky.</li>

<p>After that you’ll have access to lots of style settings that provide opportunity to change the section’s appearance when one scrolls the page and the section moves as you scroll the content up or down.</p>

<li><strong>Sticky Section Visibility</strong> – allows to make the section sticky on desktop, tablet or mobile device, depending on your needs.</li>
<li><strong>Z-index</strong> – provides opportunity to add the depth to the content, making the section show always on top or behind some of the elements shown on the page.</li>
<li><strong>Sticky Section Style</strong> – includes multiple stylization settings for the sticky section, allowing to change the section’s padding values, background type, etc.</li>
<li><strong>Transition Duration</strong> – allows to change the time of the section’s transition.</li>

<h4>Sticky Column Effect</h4>
<p>To use the sticky effect for the column you need to:</p>
<ol>
<li>Navigate to Elementor editor page;</li>
<li>Click Edit Column option for one of the columns to which you want to apply Sticky effect.</li>
<li>Open Advanced settings and here enable Sticky Column effect.</li>
</ol>
<p>After the effect is active you’ll be able to change top and bottom spacing values, choose to display the effect on desktops, tablets or mobile devices only.</p>
