This plugin provides the ability to easily link to current stock market information for any ticker symbol on <a href="https://polygon.io" rel="nofollow ugc">Stock Market API provider Polygon.io</a>.
To link to a stock within your content:
From the options menu, select “Edit as HTML” 
Wrap any of your content in a span tag and add the attribute data-ticker-links=”TICKER” 
Save and preview your content.
Example:
Cruise stocks have been up this week, showing an overall trend in the travel sector. 
Companies such as Norwegian Cruise Lines and 
Royal Caribbean Group have lead the rally.
Your previewed/published content will be enriched with a link for the user to see the current stock price, charts, and news for 
the provided stock ticker such as <a href="https://polygon.io/quote/RCL" rel="nofollow ugc">Royal Caribbean Group</a><a>.</a>

This plugin will create a widget, which will get the price of a stock, an display the price along with the name of the stock.
The plugin provides users with a shortcode to use on any page and post. The user provides the ticker value (eg. AAPL) and exchange (eg. NASDAQ). This is used to gather the data.

This plugin gets the data from our servers at https://api.simplestocks.io. Our servers gather data from various sources, all the data is validated and store the data in our own 
databases. Future updates will see the use of a more advanced and friendlier API.
