<h2>Multiple Packages per Product</h2>
<p>Is your store selling a product (or more) that are shipped in separate packages? No doubt you’ve run into issues getting accurate shipping costs for those packages. In WooCommerce, a product only has one set of dimensions, such as length, width, height, and weight. So any item that, for example, ships in 3 packages will not have accurate dimensions, and thus, shipping rates are calculated.</p>
<h3>Features</h3>
<h4>Create Packages</h4>
<p>Create as many packages as needed within the ‘Shipping’ tab on the edit product page. Through the intuitive UI, packages can be created for the product. The Length, Width, Height, and Weight dimensions for each package can be configured. A package name can also be provided that is displayed on the cart/checkout pages.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-edit-product-collapsed.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-18734004731416" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-edit-product-collapsed.jpg?w=896" alt="Shipping packages on edit-product page" width="682" height="242" /></a></p>
<p>Here you see the 3 packages created for this product. Each package can be expanded to show the options per package.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-edit-product-expanded.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-18734004735618" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-edit-product-expanded.jpg?w=896" alt="Multiple Packages per Product - edit page expanded" width="896" height="623" /></a></p>
<h4>Variations and Packages</h4>
<p>Multiple Packages per Product fully supports setting up packages within each individual variation as well. If no packages are created within the variation it will fallback to the packages that are created in the ‘Shipping’ tab. If nothing is configured there the extension will not change anything and WooCommerce core’s behaviour is followed.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-variation-packages.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-18734004731413" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-variation-packages.jpg?w=896" alt="Multiple packages in variations" width="675" height="629" /></a></p>
<h4>Exclude/Whitelist Shipping Rates</h4>
<p>Of course if not every package is the same size all the time. This also means that often, it can take different shipping options to ship a package. With the option to exclude or whitelist shipping rates, you control which options can appear or not.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-exclude-whitelist.gif"><img class="alignnone wp-image-18734004736206" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-exclude-whitelist.gif?w=798" alt="Package exclude/whitelist shipping method setting switch" width="373" height="215" /></a></p>
<h4>Display Shipping Packages on the Product Page</h4>
<p>Through a setting, you can display the shipping packages automatically on the product page within the ‘Additional information’ section.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-product-page-2.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-18734004736085" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-product-page-2.jpg?w=896" alt="Multiple packages on the product page" width="622" height="349" /></a></p>
<h4>Packages on the Cart and Checkout Pages</h4>
<p>The shipping packages will be displayed on the cart and checkout pages. Each package will have its own shipping options available. Here, the package names will be displayed.</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-cart-page.jpg"><img class="alignnone wp-image-18734004735922" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/multiple-packages-per-product-for-woocommerce-cart-page.jpg?w=896" alt="Multiple packages for a product on the cart page" width="637" height="593" /></a></p>
