<h2>Automatically calculate price per unit</h2>
<p>The functions of the <strong>Price per Unit PRO</strong> extension are essential, especially for shops selling food. It automates the tedious calculations of unit price for each product. It works with default product attributes like shipping weight and price and calculates the unit price.</p>
<p>It can also manage more complicated setups, like when you need to calculate the price per net weight, or need a different weight unit than the default unit set in WooCommerce. It also supports custom units and multiplies of units.</p>
<p>Unlike manual calculations, this extension doesn’t make mistakes, and the unit prices are always correct. And when it comes to repricing products, it does not need special attention because it’s all automatic.</p>
<h3>Basic use</h3>
<p>The most basic scenario is to display the price of one kilogram.</p>
<p><img class="size-medium wp-image-7310513 aligncenter" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Price-per-kg.png?w=620" alt="" width="620" height="401" /></p>
<h3>Different weights<</h3>
<p>Sometimes you may want to use a weight different than the weight specified on the shipping tab. This is handy when you want a price per net weight while keeping gross weight for shipping.</p>
<p><img class="size-medium wp-image-18734001026742 aligncenter" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Different-weight-front.jpg?w=620" alt="" width="620" height="458" /></p>
<h3>Calculations for various units</h3>
<p>Normally, the recalculation works per unit. However, it is possible to show the price for a different quantity. For example, a ton.</p>
<p><img class="size-medium wp-image-18734001026791 aligncenter" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Recalculation-ratio-front.jpg?w=620" alt="" width="620" height="457" /></p>
<h3>Custom units</h3>
<p>Sometimes you want to use your own unit. You can use some pre-created units as boxes, or pieces, or create your own units.</p>
<p><img class="size-medium wp-image-18734001027562 aligncenter" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Custom-unit-simple-product.jpg?w=620" alt="" width="620" height="320" /></p>
<p><strong>Price per Unit PRO</strong> helps customers navigate the price of goods, which can increase conversions. It also helps European store owners conform to EU laws requiring shop owners to display unit prices for their food products.</p>

<h2>Sell Objects Priced by Unit or Allow Customers to Add Quantities of Their Own with Measurement Price Calculator</h2>
<p>While selling t-shirts or cell phone covers is easy with WooCommerce, many of us also sell products that aren’t sold in quantities of “1”, such as flooring, wallpaper, or more. The Measurement Price Calculator for WooCommerce will solve the problems you’ve probably encountered in setting up and pricing these products.</p>
<p>The <strong>Measurement Price Calculator extension</strong> for WooCommerce allows you to add and configure a calculator to your products that are sold in <strong>quantities</strong> based on their dimensions, square footage, volume, or weight. This allows you to easily sell products which have a known measurement per item. For instance, let’s say you have tile that’s sold for $2.09 per square foot, and you offer a box of tiles that covers 35 square feet or a larger box that covers 60 square feet. Using the same pricing per square foot, you can easily enter the size of the box and the calculator will display the total price per box.</p>
<p>Looking to instead allow customers to tell you how much they need? The Measurement Price Calculator also allows you to <strong>sell products based on the price by unit</strong> of measurement (per square foot, cubic yard, etc). Perhaps you sell mulch with a price per cubic yard — you can allow the customer to provide an area and depth of mulch, and the calculator derives the total cubic yardage and final price. Configure any combination of units and customize labels to meet your store’s needs!</p>

<h3>One Plugin, Two Calculator Modes</h3>
<p>With this one plugin you can configure <strong>two distinct calculator modes</strong>: <em>quantity-based</em> and <em>user-defined</em>. To learn how to set up products for each mode, check out the <a href="https://woocommerce.com/document/measurement-price-calculator/">documentation</a>. The <em>quantity-based calculator</em> is ideal for selling products that have a set measurement, such as a box of tile with given square footage. The calculator will be shown on the frontend, prompting the customer for a length and width (for instance). You set the label and the units to use, and your customer can easily purchase the minimum number of boxes based on the area of their floor and the coverage of each box of tiles:</p>
<figure id="attachment_1095700" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1095700" style="width: 950px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-quantity-mode-product.png"><img class="size-large wp-image-1095700" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-quantity-mode-product.png?w=950" alt="WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator Quantity Mode product" width="950" height="697" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1095700" class="wp-caption-text"><em>Selling a box of tile with the quantity calculator</em></figcaption></figure>
<p>As shown in the sample image, the plugin can be configured to display the price “per unit”, as is common with tile sales. The price for the product (e.g., one box of tiles) will be divided by the configured size of the product (e.g., the square foot coverage of the box of tiles) to determine the price per unit. Of course, <strong>any of the calculators can be used</strong>: dimensions, area, volume or weight, with any combination of units and custom labels.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the <em>user-defined calculator mode</em> allows you to sell products which are priced per unit and sold in custom sizes. This calculator is ideal for selling products which are customized to order: for instance, fabric sold by the foot, with a length provided by the customer. When the ‘Calculated Price’ option is enabled, price will be defined the price per unit and the amount entered by the customer.</p>
<p>On the product page, the customer will be able to supply the length desired and see the final price based on their dimensions:</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-per-yard.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-158005" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-per-yard.png" alt="WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator Price per Yard" width="410" height="355" /></a></p>
<p>The user-supplied measurement is shown on the cart page, order details, emails, and order admin:</p>
<p><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-cart.png"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1095734" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-cart.png?w=928" alt="WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator Cart Page" width="928" height="310" /></a></p>
<h3>Pricing Calculator Inventory Support</h3>
<p>In the latest version of the plugin, inventory can now be managed “by unit” for custom sized products (user-defined mode). With this option enabled, you have the ability to account for product inventory in the same units in which it is sold. For instance, if your product is fabric by the foot you can configure your product inventory in terms of available feet of fabric, so if a customer orders two 10-foot lengths a total of 20 feet will be deducted from your product inventory.</p>
<figure id="attachment_152559" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-152559" style="width: 550px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-inventory-management.png"><img class="size-medium wp-image-152559" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-inventory-management.png" alt="WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator Inventory Management" width="550" height="137" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-152559" class="wp-caption-text"><em>Inventory by the Foot</em></figcaption></figure>
<h3>Pricing Calculator Dynamic Weight</h3>
<p>Now you can configure a weight “per unit” for your user-defined calculator products. By enabling this option you are able to set a weight per square foot, for instance, so that shipping costs can be correctly totaled for products customized by your customers.</p>
<figure id="attachment_152560" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-152560" style="width: 391px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-dynamic-weight.png"><img class="size-full wp-image-152560" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-dynamic-weight.png" alt="Example: Shipping based on Pounds per Square Foot" width="391" height="44" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-152560" class="wp-caption-text"><em>Example: Shipping based on Pounds per Square Foot</em></figcaption></figure>
<h3>Pricing Table</h3>
<p>For simple products with prices that vary depending on the total measurement of the item, we are pleased to introduce the <strong>pricing table feature</strong>. No longer are you limited to a single price per unit for your pricing calculator products – simply define one or more pricing rules consisting of a measurement range, a price per unit, or a sale price per unit and the measurement price calculator will take care of the rest. The price will be instantly updated on the product page based on the size of product configured by the customer.</p>
<figure id="attachment_152563" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-152563" style="width: 550px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-example-pricing-table.png"><img class="size-medium wp-image-152563" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-example-pricing-table.png" alt="WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator Pricing Table" width="550" height="174" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-152563" class="wp-caption-text"><em>Easily configure product prices that vary based on size</em></figcaption></figure>
<p>Display the available pricing on the frontend with a simple shortcode that can be used on the product page or anywhere shortcodes are accepted. Encourage your customers to purchase more with savings they can see. Want a convenient place to show this? How about listing the price schedule in a custom tab added by the premium <a href="https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-tab-manager/">Tab Manager</a>:</p>
<figure id="attachment_150842" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-150842" style="width: 511px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img class="size-full wp-image-150842" src="https://woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/woocommerce-measurement-price-calculator-pricing-table-frontend.png" alt="Prices are always up to date on the frontend thanks to a simple yet powerful shortcode" width="511" height="189" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-150842" class="wp-caption-text"><em>Prices are always up to date on the frontend thanks to a simple yet powerful shortcode</em></figcaption></figure>
<p>Remember that <strong>any of the calculators</strong> can be used: dimensions (length, width, height), area (simple area or length x width), surface area, perimeter, volume (simple volume, area x height, or length x width x height) or weight, with any combination of units and custom labels. The Measurement Price Calculator allows you to configure product calculators that are as unique as your product line!</p>
