This plugin adds 15 web safe font families to the WordPress block editor’s typography panel. No Google Fonts, no external requests, no JavaScript font loaders, CSS import — just the fonts that are already installed on your visitors’ devices.
Web safe fonts are pre-installed on Windows, Linux operating systems, which means they render instantly without any network request. Your website loads faster, looks consistent across devices, and avoids layout shifts caused by font loading.
We have a Plan B! When a visitor uses a different operating system or device, the plugin loads the same or an alternative font, so the design won’t change.

How it works 
The plugin registers the font families in the theme.json data layer via the <code>wp_theme_json_data_theme</code> filter. This makes them appear alongside your theme’s own fonts in the Typography panel of every block that supports font selection. The corresponding CSS classes are enqueued as inline styles, so fonts are applied correctly both in the editor and on the frontend.

<h3>Two Loading Modes</h3>
This plugin offers two distinct loading modes with different privacy implications:
<h4>Self-Hosted Mode (Default & Recommended)</h4>
No external requests are made in self-hosted mode:
✅ Fonts are downloaded once from Google Fonts API and stored on your server 
✅ All subsequent requests are served from your own domain 
✅ No visitor data is transmitted to third parties 
✅ 100% GDPR-compliant without requiring user consent 
✅ No cookies are set 
✅ No IP addresses are logged or transmitted
How it works: 
1. When you select a font in the Customizer, the plugin downloads it from Google Fonts API 
2. Font files are stored in <code>/wp-content/uploads/google-fonts/</code> 
3. Visitors’ browsers load fonts from your server, not Google’s
Initial download from Google: The plugin makes a one-time request to Google Fonts API when you first select a font. This happens from your server (not visitors’ browsers) and only transmits: 
– Font family name 
– Requested weights 
– Your server’s IP address (not visitors’)
<h4>Google CDN Mode</h4>
External requests ARE made in Google CDN mode:
When you enable Google CDN mode and check the consent checkbox, this plugin loads fonts from Google’s servers:

Without both of these, no external requests are made.
