This plugin allows to use a self hosted Matomo server to get website statistics. When enabled, the neccessary code is added to the footer of the website. There is also a direct link to your Matomo server in the WordPress dashboard.

Prerequisites and technical requirements:
Running Matomo Analytics on your server can use significant resources. Whenever someone visits your WordPress website, your server will need to serve your WordPress pages to the user, as well as tracking the user journey in Matomo, resulting in an additional request for each page view.

<li>The minimum PHP memory limit is 128Mb, but we recommend to use a higher limit (memory_limit = 256M).</li>
<li>PHP 7.2 at minimum is required.</li>

Matomo Analytics – Ethical Stats. Powerful Insights.

A great tool for tracking website users and the behavior on site.

Nice tool

Tried it and got broken pages when I was trying to see stats. It complained about an ad block, but disabling that only removed the complaining message. The admin pages were not fully loading. It also appears to be using javascript and not keeping things internal.

Great thing! I tried this as an alternative to GA a while ago, and since then I've been using only this analytics for all my clients. 1. it's open source, loads from your server and stores data in your database2. it loads faster than GA, and unlike GA isn't locked by Firefox, Brave, and others (due to the first fact, that it's loaded from your website)3. it has great UI and UXThe available reports in times better than the crappy GA reports, and built-in Woo tracking that works out-of-the-box is a very nice thing.I had a small thing to figure out, and contacted the support here, in the wp.org forum. The reply was instant. 5+ and highly recommend it to everybody!
