Winsite Image Optimizer will compress your images for optimal file-size while keeping its quality (pretty much) intact, using the ImageOptim API (and other processing engines coming up soon).
You can also process all of your old images retroactively using our dedicated tool, found under the Media section.

Warning: This won’t work on localhost in some cases, since some services work in a way that they pull images in from your site. This is why you’ll need a public URL in order to make this work locally. 
You can use a service such as ngrok to achieve that, in conjunction with this filter:

Better optimization it's so important for websites. This useful plugin work out of the box with minimum attention and maximum optimization.



Work like a charm!

I have been looking for a reliable image compression tool for WordPress for a long time.. Finally found this one that actually does what it should and does it great. Big shout out to the developers!!!

I can't recommend this plugin as it changed lots of file names and duplicated images.

With some regex I managed to get rid of some of its damage, but with large sites this would have been a nightmare

I would say avoid this plugin to be safe, there are better plugins out there for image compressions

Changed all image file names + weird redirects

The plugin worked good and I've been using it for two years. Some of it's functions are basic and it does rename images, which has been a nuisance for me. I had to use another plugin - Media file rename to remove wsi-imageoptim- prefix from filenames (Google uses image filenames for indexing). But there is a saying: you don't look in teeth a horse which was given to you for free. Therefore three stars.

Constant annoying ad in the paid version of Elementor for this plugin that I and my customers have to close all the time. Grrrrr

I don't like the new spammy plugin install prompts everywhere on my sites. This is an unnecessary plugin, and there are plenty of better and free options for image optimization.


This is not a good choice


At first I thought it was just another image optimization plugin. Whereby I am totally convinced of the Elementor Builder and therefore already had the hope that the image optimization would also convince me. I then tested it on my own website. When I created it, I naturally made sure that the images were optimized. I was all the more surprised that after optimizing with the plugin, the images could be reduced by more than half the file size. I can therefore highly recommend it.


Does what it promises


Image optimizer is very easy to configure and once done, each new image is optimized automatically and quickly and it works quite well, because it has improved the loading speed of my site!



My images were already optimized and I didn't think it was possible to further gain compression without losing quality.



In the media library, you can see each image with the space saved as well as the total space saved, this allows you to see the space saved at a glance.

The plugin works so well compared to the other solutions around,I install it for customers' websites and finely they can upload images without my help explaining how to compress the images. 


So good to have this solution by Elementor


It suggests to install in free version of elementor but later when you wanna do something it asks to connect with elementor pro. What the hell is this plan, why WP even approve this? Even you should 1% free.
