Word Stats adds a suite of linguistic diagnostics to help you keep track of your content and improve its quality.
The reports page lets you select an author and period to analyze, and displays:
<ul>
<li>The total word count.</li>
<li>The number and percentage of posts of each post type.</li>
<li>The top 20 keywords.</li>
<li>The percentage of posts of basic, intermediate and advanced readability level.</li>
<li>A graph with monthly word counts for each post type.</li>
<li>Diagnostics tables, with links to edit the posts that may be too short, too long, too difficult, too simple, lack relevant keywords or abuse certain keywords.</li>
</ul>
You can display the total word counts for each post type in your dashboard, widget areas and inside your posts with the [wordcounts] shortcode.
Word Stats also extends the info area of the post edit form with these live stats:
<ul>
<li>Relevant keywords. Common words can be blacklisted with regular expressions in the settings page.</li>
<li>A more accurate word count.</li>
<li>Color coded readability tests: Automated Readability Index, Coleman-Liau Index and LIX.</li>
<li>Total characters, alphanumeric characters, words and sentences.</li>
<li>Characters per word, characters per sentence, words per sentence.</li>
</ul>
Additionally, an extra column with the readability level of each post can be displayed in the manage posts list.
Word Stats includes basic support for Unicode scripts, including cyrillic, greek, arabic, hindi and japanese (mileage may vary).
Spanish and Catalan translations are bundled with the plugin.

Lexicographer creates an alphabetical index of your blog, using keywords you choose. The index can be included in any page, post or text widget. Here’s an <a href="http://texttheater.net/woerterverzeichnis" rel="nofollow ugc">example</a> of such an index.
I wrote this plugin because I like to invent words and define them on my blog, thereby creating a dictionary distributed over several posts. Not only was there no list of all the words available, it was also that Google wouldn’t find the words because it couldn’t deal with the stress marks I put in there, dictionary-style. Lexicographer solves both of these problems.
Lexicographer’s index is divided into sections, according to the initial characters of terms. Such sections are currently created for the Latin letters (A-Z, letters with diacritics are grouped with the non-diacriticized versions), Hindi characters, and Telugu characters. A single section “#” is created for all Arabic digits (0-9). All other initial characters go into a special section titled “*”. Contributions to add support for other writing systems are welcome!
<h3>Usage</h3>
Lexicographer does not add any new elements to the WordPress admin interface. Instead, you use it as follows:
In the posts and pages where you define terms, <a href="https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#configuring-a-block" rel="nofollow ugc">use “Edit as HTML”</a> and put the words and terms to index in spans of class <code>lemma</code>, like so: <code>ˌsu·per·ca·liˌfra·gi·lis·ticˌex·pi·a·liˈdo·cious</code> (the stress and hyphenation marks are of course optional).
In the page (or post, or text widget) where you’d like the index to live, paste the following shortcode:
[lexicographer_index]
At this place, the index will be inserted. It will consist of the defined terms, linking to the definitions.
Shortcode attributes:
<ul>
<li>anchorlinks [true/false, default: true]: If true, anchored links to the terms 
will be created. If false, links to the post(s) containing the term will be 
created.</li>
<li>headerlevel [int, default: 3]: Which heading level to use for the capical 
characters in the index.</li>

Lexicographer

I've used this plugin for six months now. It's extremely easy to use and setup. Just provide some markup for the words you want in the lexicon, enter the shortcode where you want the lexicon to appear and you're done.
If you have a large number of words (100+) to index, there are probably better options. The plugin does not support any form of sub-pages, i.e. if you have several words that start with an "a", they'll all be listed below each other. That being said, this a great, free plugin, which I highly recommend.
