Small patch turned into a completely new plugin. The weather forecast is based on http://www.worldweatheronline.com/ API (JSON). 
 The plugin is much more light then its ancestor. It has more features and most importantly it works!
<h3>The install</h3>

<li>You can install the plugin using the auto-install tool from the WordPress back-end.</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>You should now see the widget show up under ‘widgets’ menu. Drop that widget into a sidebar.</li>

<h3>How are the day name localized?</h3>
The localization is treated by the internal WordPress logic. What language you have that language you get.
<h4>Why did you make another Weather widget?</h4>
Well, we (http://prahounakole.cz) were using the ICIT Weather widget for a while and when it stopped to work I went ahead and “fix” it.
<h4>Can I use the bundled images for free?</h4>
Sure!

<h4>What if I want to use my own icons?</h4>
It’s easy, make your own and put them images in the sub-folder with your custom name to the images folder in this plugin directory. 
 Refresh the widget admin screen. You’ll find your pack in the “Image set” Weather widget menu. 
 (good source of icons is:http://www.iconarchive.com/ or http://www.deviantart.com/)
Check how the bundled images how they are done, and follow this naming structure: 
 WORLD WEATHER possible weather cases (image names are 395.png and it thumbnail 395-thumb.png)
<h4>and what about the weather informations?</h4>
If you want to use this widget you have to first get the API from (http://www.worldweatheronline.com/register.aspx)..don’t wary it’s free, just follow the WWO Policy (http://www.worldweatheronline.com/free-weather-feed.aspx?menu=usage).

Install via the WordPress plugin admin dialog (search for wp-forecast) or

Upload to your plugins folder, usually <code>wp-content/plugins/</code>, keeping 
the directory structure intact (i.e. wp-forecast.php should end up 
in <code>wp-content/plugins/wp-forecast/</code>).

Activate the plugin on the plugin screen.

Visit the configuration page (<code>Options -> WP-forecast</code>) to pick the 
number of widgets, data to display and to change any other option.

Visit the Themes/Widgets page to place your wp-forecast widget within 
your themes sidebars or insert it manually and edit your template 
file and put the wp-forecast function where you want your weather 
data to show up.

You have to replace <widget_id> with the choosen widget id. 
 For the first widget use wp_forecast(“A”), for the second

there are three classes div.wp-forecast for outer formatting, 
table.wp-forecast for the middle part or iconpart and 
wp-forecast-details for everything below the icon

<h3>Translations</h3>
wp-forecast comes with various translations, located in the directory <code>lang</code>. 
 if you would like to add a new translation, just take the file 
 wp-forecast.pot (in the wp-forecast main directory) copy it to 
 wp-forecast_-.po and edit it to add your translations 
 (e.g. with poedit).
Please be aware that the number codes stand for the weather-situations. 
 you can see the mapping in wp-forecast-en_US-en_US.po. there are also 
 the letters N, S, W, E they stand for the winddirections and can be 
 translates either.
To use your own translation, a different one as the default just rename the 
 appropriate file wp-forecast_-.po and 
 wp-forecast_-.mo
To add your translations online at the Translate WordPress project please visit 
 https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wp-forecast. This should be the prefered 
 way from now on.
