Frustrated that only the paid plugins would handle my various CSV files with different fields, I decided to write this plugin vs using a throwaway import script. Hopefully this will help others facing the same problem.
Simple flow-based approach:
<ul>
<li>upload your CSV</li>
<li>check/adjust data will be imported how you imagine</li>
<li>auto-generate WordPress content from your imported data</li>
</ul>
It shouldn’t need to be much harder than that.

After installing the plugin, you can create and manage tables on the “TablePress” screen in the WordPress Dashboard.
To insert a table into a post or page, add a “TablePress table” block in the block editor or a widget in the Elementor page builder and select the desired table or use Shortcodes with other page builders.
Beginner-friendly step-by-step <a href="https://tablepress.org/tutorials/" rel="nofollow ugc">tutorials, guides, and how-tos</a> show how to achieve common and popular tasks with TablePress.

Ich nutze das Plugin nun schon eine ganze Weil und bin immer wieder begeistert, wie einfach man damit Tabellen erstellen und einbetten kann. Dazu kommt, dass der Autor immer wieder neue Funktionen einbaut und das Plugin weiterhin kostenfrei bleibt.



I've been using the plugin for a while now and I'm still amazed at how easy it is to create and embed tables. In addition, the author keeps adding new features while the plugin remains free.

Working with TablePress has made it easier to manage data especially when working with hundreds of cells.



No way should one ever work with "plain HTML tables" again! :-)

TablePress 3.0 removed backward compatibility with free extensions. Now you need to use paid version in order for things to work. Someone skilled should fork this.
