Test jQuery Updates is an official plugin by the WordPress team that is intended for testing of jQuery and jQuery UI before updating them in WordPress. It is not intended for use in production.
Version 3.0 of the plugin is intended for testing of jQuery 4.0.0 beta in WordPress 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, and 6.8.
If you find a bug in a jQuery related script <a href="https://github.com/WordPress/wp-jquery-update-test/issues" rel="nofollow ugc">please report it</a>.
<h4>Default settings</h4>
When activated this plugin will replace the bundled version of jQuery with the version from this plugin. There are no other settings at this time. To stop testing please deactivate the plugin.

DISCONTINUATION NOTICE: Development on this plugin has ceased in favor of the carousel module in the <a href="https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/" rel="ugc">Jetpack plugin</a>. I recommend you use that plugin instead — it’s much more full featured.
Makes the native WordPress galleries use a lightbox script called <a href="http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/" rel="nofollow ugc">ColorBox</a> to display the fullsize images right there in the page. No modifications required.
You can also make single non-<code>[gallery]</code> images use the lightbox by giving their links a class of “lightbox”, like so:
