<p>Many people use wordpress to run blogs alongside their Ruby on Rails applications. And many<br />
Ruby on Rails applications use very similar login systems, derived from the restful_authentication<br />
or clearance plugins. This plugin provides hooks so that your wordpress blog can read your rails<br />
app’s database.yml file, connect to that database and authenticate the user against your rails app.</p>
<p>This plugin requires the syck PHP extension for parsing yaml. Instructions for installing syck are available at<br />
http://trac.symfony-project.org/wiki/InstallingSyck</p>

<p>This Plugin allows administrators to restrict user login based on user roles. This is useful e.g. when you want anyone to register on your site but you do only want certain people (e.g. editors) to enter the logged in area.</p>
<p>Roles that are allowed to log in are set in a new menu entry in the Users menu.</p>
<p>This plugin was originally developed for the <a href="https://quality4digitallearning.org/" rel="nofollow ugc">globe – Community of Digital Learning</a> on behalf of <a href="https://www.giz.de/" rel="nofollow ugc">GIZ</a>.</p>
