<p><strong>Spamex</strong> provides a shortcode to obfuscate email addresses and phone numbers in HTML. This protects them from scraping bots while staying readable for users.</p>
<h3>Examples:</h3>
<ul>
<li><code>[spamex email="name@domain.tld" key="secret"]</code></li>
<li><code>[spamex phone="+1!123!456"]</code></li>
</ul>
<h3>How it works:</h3>
<p><strong>Email:</strong><br />
– The <code>key</code> is injected between domain and TLD.<br />
– Example: <code>name@domain<b>.secret</b>.tld</code> (key is hidden via CSS)</p>
<p><strong>Phone:</strong><br />
– Format must be: <code>prefix!middle!suffix</code><br />
– The <code>middle</code> part is replaced by random digits.<br />
– Example: <code>+49!123!456</code> <span aria-hidden="true" class="wp-exclude-emoji">→</span> <code>+49123<b>XYZ</b>456</code></p>
<p>In both cases, the <code><b></code> part is hidden using CSS and only fools bots.</p>
