4. If you want ABS Portfolio in your theme php, Place <?php echo do_shortcode('YOUR_SHORTCODE'); ?> in your templates
5. Posted your post Portfolio Item custom post with category and follow the blow shortcode for viewing portfolio.

Yes you can add link with your portfolio. When you add portpolio item there have custom fild oftion you put

portfolio_link

in Neme box and put your link with out

http:// and https://

in Value box . You can see more from Screenshots tab.
