The payment gateway stores a token at checkout. Appalify uses this token to renew subscriptions automatically.

3. Automatic Billing & Payment Retries

WooCommerce triggers renewal events; Appalify charges the saved token. You can set retry intervals and retry limits for failed renewal payments.

4. Full Transparency

All subscription events appear in:

This plugin connects to the API of both Paypal and Stripe via the token saved in the Paypal and Stripe Plugins.

Paypal:

The API is used to create a subscription. This token is then saved, so it can be checked periodically, if it is still active.

The API is also used to cancel the subscription.

The API is used to recharge the users payment method each billing cycle. First the payment_id is saved and then it is charged each billing cycle.

1. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/appalify-subscriptions or install via Plugins → Add New.
2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu.
3. Ensure you have a tokenized payment gateway enabled (Stripe, PayPal, WooPayments, etc.).
4. Edit any product and check “Enable Subscription” to begin selling recurring items.
