Description

Want a Slack notification when using our AB Testing plugin (http://autovisie.nl/devblog/autovisie-ab-title-testing-for-wordpress/)? This plugin will do just that! In the future we will extend this plugin.

Why we built it

When a editor creates a new AB test or a title has been chosen, we want to receive a Slack notification.

Installation

Activate the plugin and set the correct settings (settings -> Slack Notification Settings).

  1. Upload ‘av-slack-notifications’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Set the correct settings (settings -> Slack Notification Settings)

Slack configuration

Go to Slack and add the “Incoming WebHooks” service to your Slack channel. You will find it at “Configure Integrations”, then select “All Services” and search “incoming” to locate the “Incoming WebHooks” service. When this is setup, copy the “Webhook URL” and paste it in the WordPress Slack Notification plugin settings under “Slack webhook url”.
