You can include a GoogleMaps in your WordPress page with a shortcode and customize it according to your needs. BbgGoogleMaps even offers the possibility to select the color of the marker, which most free plugins do not allow.

Here the configurable settings:

Thank you for choosing bbgGoogleMaps! In order to create your Google map, simply activate the plugin and click on “bbgGoolgeMaps” in your left navigation menu.

To set up your map, you need a GoogleMaps ApiKey, which you insert into the corresponding input field in the “Api Key” tab and then click on “Save Api Key”.

Now the GoogleMap is ready for use.

Now adjust your map in the “Map” tab by specifying height, width, zoom, map type, etc. You can move the map with the mouse and then click on the butten “Get Center”, the center of the map is placed in the fields on the left. Now you only have to click “Save Map” and already ready for your card.

In the “Marker” tab, you can define the marker in the same way. Move it with the mouse and click on “Get Position” and the coordinates are taken. Then click on “Save Marker” and you are finished with the setup of bbgGollgeMaps.

To include the map in one of your postings, just paste the shortcode from the Maps tab. This is exactly where GoogleMaps is generated.

I have the plugin installed, what now?

Once it is installed and activated, a link will appear in your navigation area in your WP-ADMIN. Click the link “bbgGoogleMaps” and follow the instructions.

How do I put a Google Map on my page / post?

Just paste the shortcode from the “Maps” tab into your page / post.
