Description

Clean Image for Google Merchant (WC) lets you assign a dedicated, policy-compliant product image that is used only for Google Merchant Center and other feeds.

This is ideal when:
* Your storefront uses promotional images with badges, logos or text.
* Google Merchant requires a clean, neutral image without overlays.

The plugin adds a metabox inside the product edit screen with:
* A clean image selector (using the WordPress Media Library).
* A hidden attachment ID field.
* A clean image URL field.
* A simple fallback to the product featured image if no clean image is set.

It also adds a “Clean image URL (Google Merchant)” column to WooCommerce’s CSV product export and registers the meta in the REST API, making it easy to integrate with any feed plugin or custom integration.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin ZIP file via Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
  2. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  3. Ensure WooCommerce is installed and activated.
  4. Edit any product and look for the Google Merchant – Clean Image metabox in the sidebar.
  5. Select or upload a clean product image (without text or logos) and save the product.
