Clickio Consent leverages the official CMP API v2 code maintained by IAB Tech Lab to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements in digital advertising. The CMP API v2 acts as an interface for Consent Management Platforms (CMPs), allowing web and in-app callers to access transparency and consent data. This framework includes components like the Global Vendor List (GVL), the Transparency and Consent String (TC String) for storing consent data, APIs for processing the TC String, and policies governing TCF use—facilitating publishers’ adherence to GDPR standards.

The plugin loads necessary Clickio CMP JavaScript code from clickiocmp.com, a domain owned by Clickio. This code displays the appropriate consent dialog based on user location and site settings, collects privacy choices from visitors, and communicates these choices to integrated vendors.
