Checks the current WordPress installation for file tampering using the official WordPress.org checksum API. Features:

External services

This plugin uses the official WordPress Checksums API to compare your WordPress core files against known-good hashes.
No user data is transmitted. Only your site’s WordPress version and locale are sent to the API endpoint at https://api.wordpress.org/core/checksums/.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin via the Plugins menu
  3. Go to Tools core-checksum-verifier to begin
