Description

The Custom Share Button Plugin is a simple WordPress plugin that allows users to share posts via a custom share button.

Installation

Follow the normal instructions for installing WordPress plugins.

Custom Share Plugin Installation

To add a WordPress Plugin using the built-in plugin installer:

  • Go to Plugins > Add New.
  • Type “Custom Share Button” into the Search Plugins box.
  • Find the WordPress Plugin you wish to install.
    • Click Details for more information about the Plugin and instructions you may wish to print or save to help setup the Plugin.
    • Click Install Now to install the WordPress Plugin.
  • The resulting installation screen will list the installation as successful or note any problems during the install.
  • If successful, click Activate Plugin to activate it, or Return to Plugin Installer for further actions.

Manual Plugin Installation

  • Upload the custom-share-button folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation.

  • Activate the plugin through the WordPress Plugins menu.

  • Use the [custom_share_button] shortcode in your posts or pages to display the share button.

Which browsers is this plugin compatible with?

The Custom Share Button plugin is compatible with all browsers.

Why does the Custom Share Button appear on the far right side of the post/page after inserting the shortcode?

This is the default behavior. However, you can position the button at a custom location within the post/page without modifying the code.
To do this, click the Plus icon to add a Block. Select Row from the options.
Once this is added, choose Add Block from the left sidebar.
Select Shortcode. After integrating it, paste the code [custom_share_button].
Now, under Select Row, you can choose the Alignment of Elements and customize the position of the button.
