Description
This is the Lite version of Dynamic Currency Pricing. It allows you to peg your product prices to stable currencies like USD or EUR for up to 10 products. The plugin fetches real-time data from the appropriate central bank (ECB for global currencies, TCMB for TRY) and automatically updates the prices in your store’s currency. This saves you from manual price adjustments and protects your profit margins against currency fluctuations.
This Lite version has limited features. For advanced controls like profit margins, additional costs, and unlimited products, please upgrade to the Pro version.

- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.

- IMPORTANT: You must click the “Update Exchange Rates” button for the first time to fetch the initial currency data. The plugin cannot function without this step.
Frequently Asked Questions
This is the most common question. After activating the plugin, you must perform a one-time initial setup. Please navigate to Settings > Currency Pricing Lite and click the “Update Exchange Rates” button. The plugin needs this initial data to know which rates to use for converting prices. After this first update, the rates will be updated automatically.
There are two main reasons for this:
1. Weekends and Holidays: Central banks (like the ECB and TCMB) do not publish new exchange rates on weekends or public holidays. The rate will automatically update on the next business day.
2. Server Connection: Your server might be having trouble connecting to the central bank’s server. You can always go to the plugin’s settings page and click the “Update Rates Now” button to trigger a manual update. If it still fails, check with your hosting provider.
This Lite version of the plugin currently supports Simple products only. The dynamic pricing fields will appear in the “General” tab for simple products. Support for variable products, allowing a unique USD/EUR price for each variation, is a feature planned for the Pro version.
When you deactivate the plugin, the price update mechanism stops. The product prices will be frozen at the last value calculated by the plugin. This calculated price effectively becomes the new manual price for the product. If you delete the plugin, its custom data (like the base USD/EUR price) will be removed, but the regular price field in WooCommerce will still hold that last calculated value until you manually change it.
To provide reliable and official data, the plugin fetches rates directly from official sources: the European Central Bank (ECB) for global currencies and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) if your store’s currency is TRY. The rates are updated once daily.
Adding a percentage or fixed profit margin, including additional costs, and rounding prices to .99 are all advanced features available in the Pro version.
The plugin will continue to work perfectly for the first 10 products you have set a dynamic price for. You will simply be unable to set a USD/EUR price for any new products (the 11th, 12th, etc.) until you upgrade to the Pro version, which supports unlimited products.
No. The plugin is built for performance. It calculates and saves the converted prices in the background once a day using a cron job. It does not perform complex calculations every time a visitor loads a page, so it has a minimal impact on your site’s speed.
