Frequently Asked Questions
How can I check to see if the tracking code is added to my website?
Visit your website, page, post, etc.
Right click and choose “View Source or View Page Source” depending on your web browser.
Look for:
The tracking code will appear here along with your Unique Tracking ID (i.e. UA-000000-2)
Check the screenshots for an example of what this will look like.
Where do I find my stats?
You check stats in your Google Analytics account.
I don’t see any data, stats, or visitors in my Google Analytics account?
Make sure the plugin is enabled, and that you have entered the right Unique Tracking ID for your website.
You also need to have visitors to your website, and allow time for the data to show up in your account.
What is Alternative Version?
In Google’s own words:
The alternative async tracking snippet adds support for preloading, which will provide a small performance boost on modern browsers, but can degrade to synchronous loading and execution on IE 9 and older mobile browsers that do not recognize the async script attribute. Only use this tracking snippet if your visitors primarily use modern browsers to access your site.
See this Google Analytics Article for more information between the Current Standard Version vs. the Alternative Version under the “Alternative async tracking snippet” section.
Is there a help or information section available?
Yes. You may hover your mouse over, or tap the ?’s in the plugin settings page, and it will tell you the default values, what values are available, and a brief description of what the particular option does.
