Description

This plugin adds an option to override this behaviour, so that the theme will behave either as a single author blog (even where there are multiple authors) or as a multi-author blog (even where there is only one author).

Installation

  1. Upload the featured-image-licence folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory OR
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Or install through the WordPress.org plugin directory and activate.

After activating go to Settings > Featured Image Licence Options to set up your licences.

To add licences you just need to give them a name and a URL to the licence details.

Then in the media editor, you can choose your licences from the drop down field, and add the photographer name and a link to the original image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add the licences or are they pre-populated?

There are no licences pre-populated, although the plugin is designed with Creative Commons licences in mind.

Each licence just needs a name (e.g. CC BY 2.0) and a URL to the licence details (e.g. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/uk/).
