Feed Excerpts For Divi

Feed Excerpts For Divi is a simple plugin for the Divi Theme by Elegant Themes. This plugin provides excerpts for the Blog Post Feed when the Feed is set to show the Summary instead of Full Text.

WordPress filters out shortcodes when it is set to Summary, which leaves the feed content empty for posts using the Divi Builder. This plugin resolves that by generating an excerpt from the first Text Module on the post where the Divi Builder is enabled.

NOTE: This plugin is not necessary when using Full Text for the Feed

1. Install Feed Excerpts For Divi like any other WordPress plugin, directly from your plugins page.
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Set the WordPress Feed to Summary in the Reading Settings.
4. View your new WordPress Feed at yourdomain.com/?feed=rss

What if a post is not using the Divi Builder?

This plugin will ignore posts not using the Divi Builder, standard excerpts will be provided by WordPress.

What if I manually type an Excerpt?

If you manually add an excerpt to a post, that will be used in the feed instead of automatically generating one.
