Description

Automatic account creation. Secure authentication. No passwords. This plugin will automatically create & login users based on their Gabriel Secure Domain Name (using a reverse name lookup). This feature is designed specifically for WordPress sites hosted on servers with Gabriel. To work properly, Gabriel should be running on the client and server. Install the ‘Avatar Manager’ plugin by Cătălin Dogaru to add a custom avatar for new users (optional).

This WordPress plugin is licensed under the MIT license. This license ONLY applies to the gabriel_auto_login.php file.

Installation

  1. Install Gabriel on the same server as the WordPress host.
  2. Install Gabriel on the same device running the web browser.
  3. (Optional) Install the ‘Avatar Manager’ plugin by Cătălin Dogaru if you want new users to have a custom avatar image.
  4. (Optional) Upload the desired image to the ‘Media Library’, with the post name “new_user_img”.
  5. Properly configure a Gabriel Secure Gateway entry on the web server (for ports 80 or 443) and add domain/group access.
  6. Access the WordPress site using the secure url (www.server.domain.scom) and you will automatically be logged in.
