This plugin connects to the JustWatch API to search for movies and shows and to display related streaming offers. The integration is necessary for the plugin’s core functionality.

What is sent: When a user performs a search or views a title, the plugin sends the search query or title metadata (e.g., title name, internal ID) to the JustWatch API.

When data is sent: Data is sent in real time during plugin usage (e.g., when rendering a title’s availability or initiating a search). No personal or user-identifiable data is transmitted.

Additionally, the plugin can optionally embed the JustWatch Widget, which also connects to JustWatch servers to load streaming offer content. No user data is transmitted unless the widget is explicitly used.

1. Automatic Installation

   • In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
   • Search for JustWatch Partner Integrations and click Install Now.
   • Activate the plugin.

2. Manual Installation

   • Download the plugin ZIP file from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
   • Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in your WordPress Dashboard.
   • Upload the ZIP file, click Install Now, and activate the plugin.

3. Optional Geo-IP Integration

   • To enhance region detection, install the Geolocation IP Detection Plugin.
   • Configure it to use MaxMind GeoIP Lite City (free license key available here).

4. Obtain Your JustWatch API Key

   • To access the JustWatch plugin, please request your unique token by completing this form or email us at [email protected].

5. Set Up API Key

   • Navigate to Settings > JustWatch in your WordPress Dashboard.
   • Insert your JustWatch API key and adjust optional settings like branded links or error messages.

6. Embed Streaming Options

   • Open a post or page in the editor.
   • Add the JustWatch Block from the block library or select the JustWatch Toolbutton in the classic editor.
   • Search for a movie or TV show, select it, and update the post.
