This plugin utilizes the MotorsportsCalendar.com API service to provide accurate race countdown and weather information. The following data is transmitted to MotorsportsCalendar.com:

1. Calendar Data Service

– Purpose: To fetch upcoming race schedules and countdown information
– Data Transmitted: Only the selected racing series preference
– Frequency: When the widget loads on a page
– Service Provider: MotorsportsCalendar.com
– Terms of Service: https://motorsportscalendar.com/terms
– Privacy Policy: https://motorsportscalendar.com/privacy

1. Weather Information Service (Optional)

– Purpose: To display weather forecasts for race events
– Data Transmitted: Race location coordinates (only when weather display is enabled)
– Frequency: When viewing races with weather display enabled
– Service Provider: Open-Meteo via MotorsportsCalendar.com
– Weather Data Terms: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
– Weather Data Privacy: https://open-meteo.com/en/privacy

All data transmission is done securely via HTTPS. No personal user data is collected or transmitted.

1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/motorsports-calendar-widget directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
3. Use the plugin in one of two ways:
   • Go to Appearance > Widgets to add and configure the widget
   • Use the [motorsports_calendar] shortcode in your posts or pages
