Description

The idea behind this widget is quite simple. Your WordPress blog's front page shows only pre-set number of latest posts. Let's say the front page shows 10 latest posts. However, if you wish to display few older posts in the widget area starting from the 11th latest post, then this widget is of use to you. Define the x-th recent post from which the widget need to display and how many posts to display and the widget will elegantly do just that 🙂

Installation

Automatic Installation

  1. Click the “Install Now” button to the right.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. The widget will now appear in the ‘Widgets’ menu. Drag it over to your
    sidebar and set the number of recent posts to retrieve.
  4. You can optionally set the title just like the built-in Recent Posts
    widget.
  5. Click ‘Save’ in the widget to save settings.

Manual Installation

  1. Upload older-posts-widget.zip to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Unzip older-posts-widget.zip.
