Description

I often need to know which page template is applied to which page. In some cases, it’s a lot of pages.

I would have to go to the quick edit screen for each page and then check the template used and make a note of it for future reference. That takes too much time.

So instead I wrote this little plugin that adds the page template information in a new column of the table at WP Admin > Pages.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP file from WordPress.org
  2. Log in to the WordPress admin
  3. Go to “Plugins” ( sidebar menu )
  4. Click “Add new” ( top left )
  5. Click “Upload plugin” ( top left )
  6. Choose the file you downloaded, click install and activate

  1. Log in to the WordPress admin
  2. Go to “Plugins” ( sidebar menu )
  3. Click “Add new” ( top left )
  4. Type in “Page Template Column” in the search ( top right )
  5. Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”

Does one thing and does it well

I love a good small single-purpose plugin. This one fits the bill perfect. Also has a good joke in the code... 😃
