Pinpointed AI Sommelier is a conversational AI product expert for your WooCommerce store.

Instead of forcing customers to scroll through searches, filters, and hundreds of bottles, it asks natural-language questions such as:

• “What are you cooking?”
• “What’s your budget per bottle?”
• “Is this a gift? Who is it for?”

Then it recommends the best wines or spirits from your live WooCommerce inventory, with direct links to product pages so customers can buy in one click.

How it works (high level)

1. The plugin adds a small floating AI chat button to your storefront.
2. When customers ask questions, the plugin securely calls the Pinpointed gateway (hosted on Cloudflare Workers).
3. The gateway talks to your AI workflow (e.g. n8n / Pinpointed backend) and your WooCommerce products.
4. The customer sees a friendly, natural reply with clickable product links.

You can start on a Free plan and upgrade later to Starter or Pro inside the WordPress admin.

SaaS & data usage notice

This plugin connects to the Pinpointed AI service in order to function. The plugin loads a JavaScript widget from an external domain (Cloudflare Workers) to provide the chat functionality.

• Remote service: pinpointed-gateway.ian-d13.workers.dev
• External script: The chat widget is loaded from the Pinpointed gateway URL specified in your settings
• Data sent: customer questions, chat session ID, store domain, currency meta, and product search terms
• Data not sent by default: customer names, emails, billing/shipping details or WordPress user data

Important: The plugin loads JavaScript from an external Cloudflare Workers domain to provide the AI chat widget. This is necessary for the plugin to function but means that chat functionality depends on the availability of this external service.

By activating the plugin and requesting a license, you agree that your store will communicate with the Pinpointed AI service. You can remove the plugin at any time to stop all calls.

Privacy Policy: When you use this plugin, it collects chat messages and anonymous session data to provide wine recommendations. It does NOT collect customer names, emails, or payment information. For full details, see the Privacy section in your WordPress admin under Settings → Privacy.

Pinpointed AI Service

– Purpose: Provides AI-powered wine and spirits recommendations
– Data sent: Chat messages, anonymous session IDs, store domain, currency information

Cloudflare Workers
– Purpose: Hosts the chat widget JavaScript and gateway API
– The plugin loads external JavaScript from your configured gateway URL
– This is necessary for the AI chat functionality to work

By using this plugin, you acknowledge that data will be transmitted to these external services. You can remove the plugin at any time to stop this data transmission.

1. Upload the plugin

• Download the plugin ZIP (pinpointed-ai-sommelier.zip).
• In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
• Upload the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.

1. Check WooCommerce is active

   This plugin requires WooCommerce. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active on your site.

2. Open Pinpointed AI settings

• Go to Pinpointed AI in the left-hand admin menu.
• The Gateway URL will normally be pre-filled.

1. Create or enter your license

   You have two options:

• One-click Free plan
  Click “Get a Free Trial License”. The plugin will contact the Pinpointed gateway using your site URL and admin email and create a free license automatically. The new license key will be filled into the License Key field.

• Existing license
  Paste a license key you received from Pinpointed into the License Key field.

1. Save and authenticate

• Click Save & Authenticate.

• The plugin will bind your license to this domain and request a secure token (JWT) so the chat widget can communicate with the gateway.

  You should see a “Connected” status badge once this is successful.

1. Decide where to show the widget

• To show the AI Sommelier on all WooCommerce pages (shop, product, cart, etc.), select “Floating button on all shop pages” in Display Mode.
• Or select “Only using shortcode” and add [pinpointed_ai_sommelier] to specific pages (e.g. your shop or a dedicated “Ask the Sommelier” page).

1. Test it

   Visit your store while logged out (or in a private window). You should see a small chat icon at the bottom right. Click it, ask for a pairing, and confirm it returns your WooCommerce products.
