Post Words Count is a simple plugin which shows the total words of a post and thumbnail of the post at All Post section in dashboard. So, you can easily find out the total words of a post and the including or excluding the thumbnail of the post.

Installation

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

e.g.

  1. Go to Plugin Menu from your dashboard.
  2. Click on Add New
  3. Now upload “post-words-count.zip” file and click install now.
  4. Finally active it. It is done.

Useful Small Tool

Do not use: Bug in plugin causing massive slow down...

Plugin contains huge performance issue if the sites has more then +100 posts. On line 68 of post-word-count.php there is a function that calls on init and load all posts from the database and calculating the wordcount for each post. This is not required and will possible "kill" any server preformace you want to have. After disabling the plugin number of Queries went down from 900 to 40...
