Description

Allow site admins to restrict the tags available for other users on their site.

Admins can also restrict the items for custom, non-hierarchical taxonomies.

This plugin changes the Post Tag UI on the Edit Post admin page to be similar to that of the Categories UI. Checkboxes for previously defined tags are presented instead of a text field.

Installation

  1. Upload the entire plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why was this plugin created?

To restrict the tags available to non-administrator users when publishing a blog post. In much the same way categories are restricted.

How do I use it?

Nothing to configure. No settings. No options. Activate and it will work.
