Reviews for Easy Digital Downloads

Reviews for Easy Digital Downloads allows your customers to submit reviews with a 1-5 star rating on your website and helps to increase sales for your business.

It’s easy to enable or disable reviews for downloads from the Extensions settings tab. The following options are available:

A few notes about the sections above:

• Enable Reviews – If checked, customers will be able to write reviews for the downloads.
• Enable Verification – If checked, reviews can only be left by “verified owners”.
• Verification Label- If checked, “verified owner” label on customer reviews will be displayed.
• Enable Ratings – If checked, customers will be able to submit reviews with a 1-5 star rating.
• Ratings Required? – If checked, star ratings should be required, not optional.

Getting Started

Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of this plugin, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.

In the search field type “Reviews for Easy Digital Downloads” and click Search Plugins. Once you’ve found this plugin you can view details about it such as the point release, rating and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by simply clicking “Install Now”.

Manual installation

The manual installation method involves downloading the plugin and uploading it to your webserver via your favourite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.
