A simple widget that displays a random post from your blogroll, or from any custom post type in your blog, rather then the standard functionality of the built in recent post widget.
Installation
This section describes how to install the plugin.
- Upload the plugin folder to the
/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Add the “Show a Random Post” widget to one of your widget areas
- Enter the required fields for widget operation: widget title (optional), the number of randomized posts to display (required), and if you wish to, the slug of a custom taxonomy to show posts from (if left blank, posts will be randomly displayed from your WordPress blogroll instead)
