SnapImpact

SnapImpact is a free location-aware service that makes it easy for people to find volunteer opportunities and get involved in their communities.

The SnapImpact Plugin:

• Displays local community volunteering opportunities in the blog sidebar.
• Please see the Screenshots for examples.

Upgrading?

• Please Deactivate the previous SnapImpact Plugin first.

Installation

1. Upload the SnapImpact Plugin folder to /wp-content/Plugins/

2. Login to your WordPress admin web page.

3. Activate the Plugin:

   • Click on the Plugins tab.
   • Find SnapImpact in the list of Inactive Plugins (or Recently Active Plugins).
   • Click on Activate to activate the SnapImpact Plugin.

4. Configure the Plugin:

   • Click on Settings.
   • Click on SnapImpact.
   • Enter your SnapImpact options.
   • Press the Save button to save the SnapImpact options.

5. Add the Plugin as a sidebar widget:

   • Click on Appearance (or Design).
   • Click on Widgets.
   • On the left side, next to SnapImpact, click on Add to make it appear in the list of Current Widgets.
   • Click on Save Changes.

6. If your theme DOES NOT support widgets, place the following line of code in your sidebar file (e.g. sidebar.php):

   • <?php SnapImpact_sidebar (); ?>

7. Local volunteer opportunities should now appear in your sidebar.
