SupportHost Star Rating

SupportHost star rating plugin will give you the possibility to add star rating to the comments, so your user can give a rating to the different features of the products/services you are reviewing.

This plugins is ultralight. It only adds a 3Kb css to your website.

Key Features

• Choose the categories, tags or custom taxonomies for which you want to show the rating. For example, only the posts in the review category will have the rating enabled

• Decide the features you want your users to review. You have no limits here.

• Decide if you want to show an average rating box on top of every post that has been reviewed.

• Use a shortcode to place the average rating box wherever you like.

Automatic installation

Installing the plugin automatically is the easiest way to install the plugin. You can install it with 2 clicks directly from your WordPress dashboard.

From your admin dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New. From the search box, type “SupportHost Star Rating” and search. Click the install button on the SupportHost Star Rating and then activate the plugin.

Manual installation

You can also install the plugin manually. Just download the zip file of the plugin from the WordPress.org plugin repository. You can upload the zip file from you WordPress dashboard, or unzip it on you computer and upload the files inside the wp-content/plugins directory using an FTP client.

When doing a manual installation

1. Upload the plugin folder (unzipped) to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins page in the WordPress dashboard.

First configuration

1. Go to settings -> SupportHost Star Rating
2. Decide whether or not you want to show the average box on top
3. Select the terms for which you want to give the possibility to give a review (ate least a publishe post is necessary to activate the term)
4. Add the attibutes you want you users to rate
5. Done! Now your users can add a rating

Plugin updates

When an update for the plugin will be available, you will be notified in the WordPress dashboard. You can directly update the plugin from your dashboard. We recommend that you keep the latest version of the plugin to be able to use the latest functionalities.
